Wind Developers Commit to Wyoming-Colorado Intertie Project
LCG, August 27, 2008--Auction results from the open season for the proposed Wyoming-Colorado Intertie (WCI) Project were announced yesterday, and two wind developers, GreenHunter Wind Company and Duke Energy Ohio, committed to about 70 percent of the capacity on the proposed electric transmission line. Project sponsors believe that remaining capacity can be subscribed in the not too distant future.

Jordan Cove Energy Project Clears Hurdle for New LNG Terminal
LCG, August 26, 2008--The Oregon Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA) last Friday denied an appeal that would block the proposed Jordan Cove Energy Project. The LNG terminal is proposed to be built at Coos Bay, Oregon to receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) for re-delivery to the Pacific Northwest and adjacent markets via an expanded interstate pipeline system.
