LCG, July 13, 2026--Avantus, an independent power producer (IPP), and Clean Power Alliance (CPA) today announced a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for the Rexford 2 solar and storage project in Tulare County, California. The project will deliver 200 MWac of solar power combined with a 200 MW/800 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) to the California grid. The project is scheduled to commence construction in 2027 and achieve operations in late 2028. Commercial operations under the PPA are scheduled to start in May 2029. Avantus plans to own and operate facility.

e-STORAGE Executes Agreement to Deliver 426 MWh of Energy Storage in Florida
LCG, June 26, 2026--Canadian Solar Inc. announced yesterday that e-STORAGE, its energy storage solutions business, has entered into a supply agreement with a Florida electric utility to deliver a 95 MW/426 MWh (DC) battery energy storage system (BESS). The battery installation is planned for the second half of 2027, with commercial operation targeted for early 2028.
Under the agreement, e-STORAGE will deliver a complete, integrated BESS solution, combining 5 MWh SolBank 3.0 battery packs, along with the power conversion systems and energy management system. The expectations are that the 426 MWh project will deliver stored energy during peak demand periods to enhance reliability and help lower energy costs.
e-STORAGE will provide its proprietary 'SolBank' battery pack powered by its lithium-Ion phosphate-based battery cells, all of which will be produced at Canadian Solar's manufacturing facilities, providing full supply chain visibility and compliance.
This project is e-STORAGE's initial project Florida, where rapid solar growth and rising seasonal peak demands are making large-scale storage central to grid reliability.
The President of e-STORAGE stated, "Florida is one of the fastest-growing storage markets in the U.S., and we're glad to support our customer with capacity at this scale. The project deepens e-STORAGE's presence in a strategically important market and further demonstrates e-STORAGE's capabilities in delivering fully integrated energy storage solutions for demanding power management applications."
