LCG, October 23, 2026--INNIO N.V. yesterday announced a 620 MW follow-on order from a developer and operator of mega-scale data center campuses in the United States. Together with the customer's 1.1 GW order announced previously in July, the new order brings cumulative orders from the customer to approximately 1.72 GW this year.

LCG, October 21, 2026--The Nuclear Company today announced a proposed nuclear energy campus in Kentucky that could potentially provide 6.6 GW of electric generating capacity. The Prosperity One nuclear energy campus, located along the Ohio River in eastern Kentucky, could accommodate up to six Westinghouse AP1000 reactors and would be the largest nuclear power generation site in the nation if fully constructed.

Duke Energy Florida Identifies Locations for 195 MW of New Solar Plants
LCG, March 27, 2019--Duke Energy Florida (DEF) yesterday announced the three locations of its newest solar power plants that will provide a combined installed capacity of nearly 195 MW. DEF is investing an estimated $1 billion to construct or acquire a total of 700 MW of cost-effective solar power facilities through 2022.
DEF will own, operate and maintain the three new projects: the Lake Placid Solar Power Plant, the Trenton Solar Power Plant, and the DeBary Solar Power Plant.
DEF summarized its solar project strategy as buying existing solar projects and using a competitive process to select DEF solar contractors, solar panels and project material suppliers to bring the greatest amount of dependable renewable energy online for customers in the most efficient and economical way while creating more jobs in the solar and energy-related markets.
The Lake Placid Solar Power Plant will be built on 380 acres in Highlands County and have an installed capacity of 45 MW. The electric generating facility will include approximately 180,000 tracking solar panels and is expected to be in service in December 2019. DEF acquired the development rights to the project from EDF Renewables, and DEF is responsible for all remaining development activities, including construction.
The Trenton Solar Power Plant will occupy approximately 580 acres in Gilchrist County and have an installed capacity of 74.9 MW. The facility will include approximately 280,000 tracking solar panels and is expected to be in service in December 2019. DEF acquired the development rights to the project from Southeast Solar & Power LLC, and DEF is responsible for all remaining development activities, including construction.
The DeBary Solar Power Plant will be built on about 445 acres in Volusia County and have an installed capacity of 74.5-MW. The facility will consist of approximately 300,000 fixed-tilt solar panels and is expected to be in service in March 2020. DEF developed the project on company-owned land in the city of DeBary.
Duke Energy Florida filed a request yesterday with the Florida Public Service Commission to recover the estimated investment costs associated with the three solar projects.
The Duke Energy Florida state president stated, "These projects represent our commitment to the environment and more fuel diversity in the state as we strategically pace the expansion of renewable generation for our Florida customers' benefit."
