LCG, August 19, 2026--Duke Energy announced Monday that its 2026 Carolinas Resource Plan was submitted August 14 to the Public Service Commission of South Carolina (PSCSC). The company states that its strategy is designed to maximize the value of existing resource assets while (i) making prudent investments in additional diverse resources needed to serve South Carolina's growing population and economy and (ii) maintaining its focus on delivering safe, reliable and affordable energy. The PSCSC will now evaluate the 2026 Carolinas Resource Plan, hold a hearing in April 2027 and issue an order by June 2027.

He returns to Sierra Pacific after three years in Atlanta as a vice president of AGL Resources Inc.Richard Schwartz has been named vice president for business development by Avista Advantage, a subsidiary of Avista Corp. He most recently was senior vice president of Cambridge Technology Partners of Cambridge, Mass. where he served as chief operating officer for North America.Theodore J. Vogel has been named vice president for taxes and tax counsel by CMS Energy Corp. He occupied that position with subsidiary CMS Enterprises from 1997 to 2000 andwas an attorney for CMS Energy's principal subsidiary, Consumers Energy Co., from 1979 to 1987.
