Jon Eliassen will retire from Avista Corp. Eliassen serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer, and will continue in those positions until his official retirement in April 2003, so that the company may make a smooth transition to new leadership. Eliassen began his tenure with Avista in 1970.Carol M. Chinn has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Georgia Transmission Corporation effective April 1, 2002. Current president and CEO Julian Brix had announced his intent to retire this spring. Chinn is Vice President for System Planning, and has wide experience in transmission and distribution systems.
Karen Clark has been named chief financial officer of Capstone Turbine Corp. Clark replaces CFO Jeffrey Watts, who retires this year. Clark was previously senior vice president and CFO of PacifiCorp., the electric utility service provider.
Michael Weedall has been selected as vice president for Energy Efficiency of the Bonneville Power Administration's Power Business Line. Weedall, who left BPA in 1985 to form his own company, has worked with numerous utilies, specializing in efficiency programs and demand-side management.
Paul Mann has been appointed chief financial officer of North Pacific GeoPower Corp. Mann is currently Vice President, Comptroller with Crew Development Corporation, the majority shareholder in North Pacific.
Frank P. Bramble, Chief Executive USA for Allied Irish Bank Group and Chairman of the Board of Allfirst Financial Inc., has been elected to the board of directors of Constellation Energy Group. Bramble has 34 years of experience in the banking industry.
In a change to its management structure, Green Mountain Energy has promoted Dennis Kelly to the newly created position of vice chairman. Paul Thomas, who is currently president and chief operating officer, will be CEO and president. The changes are effective February 1, 2002.
