LCG, September 3, 2025--The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and ENTRA1 Energy (ENTRA1) yesterday announced a new agreement to advance nuclear power development within TVA’s service region. Under the agreement, ENTRA1 Energy will collaborate with TVA to deploy six ENTRA1 Energy Plants™, each powered by multiple NuScale Power Modules™, to provide up to 6 GW of firm, 24/7 baseload power.

LCG, August 27, 2025--Wärtsilä Energy announced yesterday an agreement with East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) to supply the engineering and equipment for a 217-MW power plant to be constructed in Liberty, Kentucky. The Wärtsilä equipment is scheduled for delivery in mid-2027, and the plant is expected to be commissioned in early 2028.

Swedish Company Gets 250 MW NY Power Plant Project
LCG, May 8, 2002--The Swedish company Slattery Skanska was awarded a power plant project at the Ravenswood Generating Station in Long Island City, New York. The KeySpan Energy Development Corporation ordered the project, which will include demolition, foundation work, and installation of the combustion turbine generator and heat recovery steam generator, subcontracted by engineering firm Stone & Webster. Construction is expected to begin immediately, and the resulting combined-cycle plant will produce 250 MW. Slattery Skanska is also constructing three other facilities in Long Island, bringing its US contract total to $255 million.
