Donald Pat Shalmy has been named senior vice president of the Nevada Power Company. Shalmy served previously as director of government and community relations for Kummer, Kaempfer, Bonner & Renshaw Ltd.

Cinergy Corporation introduced Frederick J. Newton III as executive vice president and chief administrative officer this week. Newton comes to Cinergy from LG&E Energy Corporation, where he was served as senior VP and CAO.
