LCG, July 2, 2025--Alliant Energy today announced plans to add up to 1,000 MW of wind energy generating capacity in Iowa to meet demand and ensure reliable, affordable energy for its customers. The plans are included in a filing with the Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC), and the company anticipates a decision from the IUC in the first quarter of 2026.

Bank of America Wants to Trade Electricity
LCG, September 12, 2002-The Bank of America has asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to allow it to participate in the electricity market.FERC received the institution's filing last week and will determine whether or not to grant it a license.Bank of America, which is based in North Carolina, began trading electricity derivatives over a month ago. The bank asserts that, because it is a liquid and creditable agent, its involvement in trading will benefit the electricity market at a time when many market players have to be somewhat more conservative about market participation.
