Xcel Energy and "Allies" Request Retirement Extension for Comanche Generating Station Unit 2

LCG, November 12, 2025--Xcel Energy, together with the Utility Consumer Advocate (UCA), Colorado Energy Office (CEO), and Trial Staff of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), filed a petition on November 10 requesting Commission approval to keep Comanche Generating Station Unit 2 available for up to one additional year after its currently planned retirement on December 31, 2025.

SEC Will Decide on Off-balance sheet Disclosure Next Week

LCG, October 24, 2002-The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission intends to decide on a rule limiting companies' undisclosed transactions by next week.

The SEC will vote next week Wednesday on whether or not to require companies to disclose risk which otherwise would remain hidden to investors. Such off-balance sheet transactions may have been used by corporations like Enron to hide debt.

Off-balance-sheet disclosure would mandate that companies submit detail lists of short- and long-term financial obligations to the SEC at regular intervals.

A favorable vote will see the new disclosure rule implemented no earlier than 30 days after Wednesday in order to allow for public input.
