LCG, October 14, 2025--Calpine Corporation today announced the close of a Texas Energy Fund (TxEF) loan agreement to support development of the Pin Oak Creek project, a 460-MW, natural gas-fired peaking facility adjacent to Calpine's Freestone Energy Center, a gas-fired combined-cycle facility located on approximately 506 acres near Fairfield, Texas.

Calypso LNG Proposal Moves Ahead
LCG, November 3, 2006--Calypso LNG, LLC ("Calypso"), Wednesday announced that it has received a notification from the United States Coast Guard stating that Calypso's application for a Deepwater Port License is complete. A statutory review period for approval of the license to build and operate Calypso's proposed offshore liquefied natural gas facility is expected to begin shortly.
The proposed Calypso Deepwater Port is to be built approximately 10 miles offshore from Port Everglades, Florida. The terminal is designed to receive liquefied natural gas (LNG) from LNG tankers. The terminal will be connected to an undersea pipeline that will have the capability to transport approximately 800 MMcf/day of natural gas to pipelines and markets in Florida.
The undersea pipeline will be operated by Calypso U.S. Pipeline, LLC. Both Calypso LNG, LLC and Calypso U.S. Pipeline, LLC are subsidiaries of SUEZ Energy North America (Suez). The terminal and pipeline projects are expected to commence operations in 2010.
