LCG, December 12, 2025--Today, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) announced strategic organizational changes designed to accelerate innovation, strengthen grid reliability, and support the unprecedented growth in the demand for electricity across Texas. To meet these objectives, ERCOT created two new organizations: Interconnection and Grid Analysis, and Enterprise Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The two organizations will formally launch in January 2026.

LCG, December 8, 2025--Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Basin Electric) and NextEra Energy Resources, LLC (NextEra) today announced that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to explore the joint development of the River Run Energy Center, a new combined-cycle natural gas-fueled generation facility in Basin Electric's North Dakota service territory. The proposed facility will have a planned capacity of approximately 1,450 MW.

LG Electronics Suspends Conergy Solar Joint-Venture Plans
LCG, November 13, 2008--LG Electronics (LG) announced late last week that it has discontinued discussions with Germany's Conergy AG (Conergy) regarding the creation of a joint venture for solar cell manufacturing due to current global financial uncertainty and differences in strategic directions. LG stated it will continue to explore opportunities in solar photovoltaic cell and module manufacturing.
LG and Conergy announced September 11 that they had executed a non-binding, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a joint venture in the solar module manufacturing business. LG was to have purchased a 75 percent stake in Conergy's solar module plant in Frankfurt, with Conergy retaining the remainder.
In October, LG announced that it plans to convert its A1 plasma panel-manufacturing line in Gumi, Korea, into two, crystalline silicon solar cell production lines. The first production line is scheduled to commence production in early 2010, with a second line entering production a year later.
