Dominion to Place Over 1,200 MW of Older Generating Capacity into "Cold Reserve"

LCG, January 19, 2018--Dominion Energy announced Wednesday that it plans to place nine older, inefficient electric generating units located at five power plants in Virginia into a cold reserve. The units have a combined capacity of 1,208 MW but account for less than one percent of the company???s generation. The nine units could be restarted if necessary, according to the company.

TEP Plans to Add New Wind Energy Project

LCG, January 18, 2018--Tucson Electric Power (TEP) plans to issue a request for proposals (RFP) today for the design and construction of new wind energy resources to provide 100-150 MW of wind energy from resources that interconnect with TEP's system or deliver power through a third-party firm transmission service.
