LCG, September 16, 2022--The Governor of Michigan last week sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in support of Holtec International’s application for a federal grant under the Civil Nuclear Credit (CNC) program to save the Palisades Nuclear Facility in Southwest Michigan. The federal grant could result in restarting the baseload, carbon-free, nuclear power plant.

LCG Publishes 2022 Annual Outlook for Texas Electricity Market (ERCOT)
LCG, February 8, 2022 – Texas has incorporated dramatic fuel mix and transmission changes over recent years, breaking its own 2020 record in wind production again in 2021. As part of an ongoing series, LCG Consulting has released its annual outlook of the ERCOT wholesale electricity market for 2022, based on the most likely weather, market, transmission, and generator conditions. This Outlook presents the future operation of the ERCOT nodal market, including Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs), load zone prices, hub prices and expected congestion in 2022.
