LCG, October 14, 2026--American Electric Power (AEP) today announced plans for a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google, under which AEP will invest approximately $4 billion to advance a new 702-MW fuel cell generation project located near Cheyenne, Wyoming. Google will acquire power from Cheyenne Fuel Cell, LLC, which is approximately 92 percent owned and controlled by AEP and 8 percent owned by funds advised by Basalt Infrastructure Partners, LLP. AEP and its partners plan to start construction this year and to be fully operational by the end of 2028.

LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. The first uprate is expected to be delivered by 2028.

Southern Union Shareholders Back Acquisitions
LCG, Aug. 31, 2000Shareholders of Southern Union Co., a natural gas company serving more than 1.2 million customers in four states and Mexico, have approved the acquisition of Providence Energy Corp. of Rhode Island and Fall River Gas Co. of Massachusetts, the company said yesterday.These acquisitions, along with that of Valley Resources Inc., will add more than 300,000 customers to Southern Union, bringing its customer base to approximately 1.6 million. On Tuesday, Fall River Gas shareholders approved that merger agreement while Providence Energy and Valley Resources shareholders had approved their transactions earlier." These positive shareholder responses reflect a vote of confidence that our strategy of enhancingcustomer service while building shareholder value continues to succeed in this changing environment," said Southern Union President and Chief Operating Officer Peter H. Kelley. Southern Union serves customers in Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Florida and Mexico. Its natural gas operating divisions include Southern Union Gas Co., Missouri Gas Energy Co., PG Energy and Atlantic Utilities Inc.
