LCG, February 24, 2026--The AES Corporation (AES) and Google today announced agreements for clean power generation that will be co-located with a new Google data center in Wilbarger County, Texas. The agreements include a 20-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for co-located power generation. These coordinated energy projects and powered land will enable Google to rapidly expand its operations to meet demand for core services, while AES will expand its power generation portfolio.

LCG, February 23, 2026--Amazon today announced plans to invest $12 billion to develop and construct state-of-the-art data center campuses in northwest Louisiana that will support cloud computing technologies. Amazon is partnering with STACK Infrastructure, the developer and owner of the campuses, to lead the construction and development of the data center facilities. Amazon has already invested in solar energy projects in Louisiana, bringing up to 200 MW of new carbon-free energy onto the grid.

LG&E, Powergen Get SEC Okay,Deal Should Close in a Few Days
LCG, Dec. 7, 2000--Powergen Plc of the United Kingdom received approval yesterday from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for its acquisition of LG&E Energy Corp. ofLouisville, Ky.The companies said it was the last approval needed for consummation of the merger, which is expected to close "in the next few days.""The speed with which this transaction has been concluded is a tribute to the people at bothcompanies who have worked diligently to make this powerful combination a reality," said Roger W.Hale, LG&E Energy's chief executive. "We sincerely appreciate their efforts.""Additionally, we'd like to thank our regulators, both in the United States and the United Kingdom, who recognized the value of this merger for the companies, their employees, their communities and theirshareholders," he added.LG&E said that shortly after the closing its shareholders will receive letters of transmittal containing instructions for submitting their stock certificates at the agreed upon price of $24.85 a share.
