LCG, January 21, 2026--Sage Geosystems, the company pioneering Pressure Geothermal, today announced that it closed over $97 million in Series B funding to advance its geothermal power generation and energy storage solutions, including its first commercial next-generation geothermal power generation facility. Nine Mile Point 2 Shuts Down for Maintenance
LCG, Feb. 26, 2001Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. took its 1,148 megawatt Nine Mile Point 2 nuclear power plant near Oswego, N.Y. out of service yesterday for scheduled maintenance expected to last a week.None of the work involves the reactor itself, the company said. During the outage, improvements will be made to the electric transmission switchyard adjacent to the plant and to an indicator that shows the position of a flow control valve in the reactor's recirculation system.Niagara Mohawk operates Nine Mile Point 2 and owns 41 percent of the facility. Other owners are New York State Electric & Gas Corp. with 18 percent, Long island Power Authority with 18 percent, Rochester Gas & Electric Co. with 14 percent and Central Hudson Gas & Electric Co. with 9 percent.
