Constellation Files License Renewal Applications with the NRC for Two New York Units

LCG, June 29, 2026--Constellation announced on June 26 that it has filed license renewal applications with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to extend for 20 years the operations of Ginna Clean Energy Center and Nine Mile Point Unit 1 reactors in upstate New York to 2049. Constellation stated that it's decision to invest in these plants to extend their safe and reliable operations into mid-century demonstrates that New York State's renewal of its Zero Emissions Credit (ZEC) program is working as intended. South Carolina Utility Cuts Gas Rate 15.24 Percent

LCG, March 7, 2001--South Carolina Electric & Gas Co., the principal subsidiary of Scana Corp., said yesterday it has received approval from the South Carolina Public Service Commission to lower its natural gas customers bills by 15.24 percent.

SCE&G said the new rate will go into effect with the first billing cycle this month, and a typical householder who uses 100 therms of gas will see his bill drop by around $20.

"We're pleased to be able to pass along lower gas prices to our customers, especially following several months of colder than normal winter weather," said Neville Lorick, president of SCE&G. "While it is extremely tough to predict changing natural gas commodity prices, if the current trendscontinue, we are hopeful we can continue to reduce costs to our gas customers."

SCE&G said it also was able to credit its residential and commercial gas customers' bills on average an additional $23.00 in December and January through the company's "Weather Normalization Adjustment." The company is also making progress on a plan under which customers can pay a flat monthly rate to 12 months.
