Constellation Files License Renewal Applications with the NRC for Two New York Units

LCG, June 29, 2026--Constellation announced on June 26 that it has filed license renewal applications with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to extend for 20 years the operations of Ginna Clean Energy Center and Nine Mile Point Unit 1 reactors in upstate New York to 2049. Poland Gives PSEG Right to Buy Power Plant

LCG, July 2, 2001The Polish government on Friday said it had granted Public Service Enterprise Group of New Jersey exclusive negotiating rights to purchase a controlling interest in a power plant in the town of Skawina.

The coal-fired, 590 megawatt Skawina plant produces about 20 percent of the power consumed in the Polish province of Krakow. It is the final power plant expected to be sold by the Polish government this year, though two cogeneration plants and an electric distribution company are to be privatized.

PSEG beat out competing bids by an Electricit de France-controlled local generator, another French company Snet, and two privately-held firms.

PSEG, already active in Poland, is in the process a $335 million, 200 megawatt cogeneration facility in the industrial southwest of the country.
