           LCG, October 28, 2025--NextEra Energy and Google yesterday announced two agreements that will help meet growing electricity demand from artificial intelligence (AI) with clean, reliable, 24/7 nuclear power and strengthen the nation's nuclear leadership. First, Google signed a new, 25-year agreement for power generated at the Duane Arnold Energy Center, Iowa's only nuclear power facility. The 601-MW boiling water reactor unit was shut down in 2020 and is expected to commence operations by the first quarter of 2029, pending regulatory approvals to restart the plant.

           LCG, October 23, 2025--Google announced today a first-of-its kind agreement to support a natural gas-fired  power plant with carbon capture and storage (CCS). The 400-MW Broadwing Energy power project, located in Decatur, Illinois, will capture and permanently store its carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. By agreeing to buy most of the power it generates, Google is helping get this new, baseload power source built and connected to the regional grid that supports our data centers.

    Missouri Regulators Okay Laclede Holding Company
  
  
    LCG, Aug. 17, 2001--Laclede Gas Co. said yesterday that Missouri regulators have approved the company's plan to form a holding company, and Douglas H. Yaeger, the firm's chairman, president and chief executive said the umbrella organization should be up and running by October 1."Our goal is to better serve the needs of our customers and our shareholders," Yaeger said, splitting his infinitive. "We plan to do this by continuing to improve the reliable natural gas service provided by our regulated core utility business while further developing our presence in unregulated arenas with which we are familiar and have some expertise."Laclede shareholders approved the holding company, to be called The Laclede Group Inc., at the company's annual meeting last January. With approval by the Missouri Public Service Commission, the St. Louis-based natural gas distributor is free to move forward with its plans.Laclede Gas, which serves 633,000 customers in and around St. Louis, will become a subsidiary of the new holding company and will remain a regulated utility. Its present subsidiaries -- Laclede Energy Resources Inc., Laclede Venture Corp., Laclede Development Co., Laclede Investment Corp., Laclede Gas Family Services Inc., and Laclede Pipeline Co. -- will be folded into the holding company as unregulated businesses.
