EU Proposal Would Open Electric Market For Corporations
LCG, Mar. 5, 2002--France vetoed a proposal for full liberalization of electric and natural gas markets in order to protect the residential market.EU financial ministers were drafting a proposal for the March 15 and 16 Barcelona summit that included the complete liberalization of electric and natural gas markets, but France found the proposal unacceptable .
