LCG, January 15, 2026--Origis Energy today announced that Meta and the company signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 240-MW (303-MWdc) Greyhound A Solar project in West Odessa, Texas. The Greyhound A Solar project is scheduled to achieve commercial operations by mid-2026.

LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

Russia and Vietnam Strengthen Nuclear Ties
LCG, April 2, 2002-In Moscow yesterday Russian officials approved a nuclear energy agreement with Vietnam.As reported by Russian news service Interfax, the Russian Ministry of Atomic Energy is expected to cooperate with the Vietnamese in various nuclear energy-related endeavors such as applied nuclear energy research, nuclear safety, development of uranium deposits, and handling of nuclear waste.This agreement follows several other recent Russian ventures in expanding nuclear energy relations, including agreements with Iran and discourse with North Korea.Simultaneously, Japan has invited both Russia and Vietnam, as well as over 40 other Asian and Eastern European countries, to partake in a nuclear safety training program. Last year's program included 1,042 Russian, Chinese and Eastern European trainees.
