LCG, April 10, 2026--The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced yesterday a rule proposing several revisions to the federal regulations governing the disposal of coal combustion residuals (CCR) and the beneficial use of CCR. The EPA designed the rule to encourage resource recovery, allow for site-specific considerations in permitting, and provide regulatory relief while continuing to protect human health and the environment. The EPA will be accepting comments on the rule for 60 days after publication in the Federal Register, and it will also hold an online public hearing on the rule.

LCG, April 9, 2026--Vault 44.01 Ltd. (Vault) announced today that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 has issued a final Underground Injection Control (UIC) Class VI permit for the One Carbon Partnership CCS project (the "OCP Project") near Union City, Indiana. The One Carbon Partnership is a joint venture between Cardinal Ethanol and Vault.

Thomas R. Heischman has been named senior vice president for construction management by PG&E National Energy Group. He most recently was a manager with the engineering firm Stone and Webster.Margaret M. Pego will become vice president for human resources of Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. begining in February. She will replace Pete Mellett who will retire from his post after 41 years with the company. Pego has worked in human resources at PSEG for 27 years.Stephen P. Reynolds has been elected president and chief executive of Puget Energy Inc., succeeding William S. Weaver, who last summer announced his plans to retire after a 33-year association with the company. Weaver remains chairman. Reynolds has been president and chief executive of advisory firm Reynolds Energy International since 1998.Harry Stephens has been appointed to the position of president and chief executive officer of Avista Corp. affiliate Avista Advantage. Stephens replaces president and chief executive officer Gerry Crooks, who will serve in the newly created position of founder and chief strategic officer. Crooks was a founder of Avista Advantange in 1979.Craig R. Frew, president of the Iroquois Gas Transmission System, has been named chairman of the New England Gas Association. Frew, who joined NEGA in 1994, succeeds Russell D. Wright as chairman.Joseph Hirl has been named senior vice president -- trading and marketing, of Progress Ventures, the subsidiary of Progress Energy. Hirl was most recently president of Enron Japan, involved in multi-commodity merchant trading and derivatives.Daniel E. Pfeiffer joins Balaton Power Inc. as Vice President of Operations. He comes to Balaton from Avista Corp., where he was Federal Issues Manager.Clint Wetmore and John Works have joined the producer finance division of Shell Capital Inc.. Wetmore will serve as a vice president of business development. He previously served as vice president of marketing with Madison Energy Advisors. Works joins Shell Capital as a vice president responsible for international projects. He was most recently president and chief executive officer of Rompetrol, an integrated energy company in Romania.Frank L. "Hank" Waters has been named vice president, Ashland Inc., and president of Ashland Distribution Company. He was most recently vice president and general manager of the Ashland plastics division of Ashland Distribution Company. Waters succeeds Peter M. Bokach in both positions. Bokach joined Ashland in 1973.Ben Anderson has resigned as president and as a director of Canada Southern Petroleum Ltd. to pursue other interests. Anderson will act as a consultant to the company for six months. Randy Denecky will serve as acting president until a successor to Anderson is selected.
