LCG, April 10, 2026--The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced yesterday a rule proposing several revisions to the federal regulations governing the disposal of coal combustion residuals (CCR) and the beneficial use of CCR. The EPA designed the rule to encourage resource recovery, allow for site-specific considerations in permitting, and provide regulatory relief while continuing to protect human health and the environment. The EPA will be accepting comments on the rule for 60 days after publication in the Federal Register, and it will also hold an online public hearing on the rule.

LCG, April 9, 2026--Vault 44.01 Ltd. (Vault) announced today that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 has issued a final Underground Injection Control (UIC) Class VI permit for the One Carbon Partnership CCS project (the "OCP Project") near Union City, Indiana. The One Carbon Partnership is a joint venture between Cardinal Ethanol and Vault.

Duke Energy to Build 1240 MW Ohio Plant
LCG, April 16, 2002-Duke Energy North America has just contracted Duke/Fluor Daniel to engineer a 1,240 MW Natural Gas plant in Ohio.The plant, which will operate in a combined-cycle configuration, is scheduled to be in service summer 2003 and will be located at the Hanging Rock Facility in Lawrence County, Ohio. Houston-based Duke Energy North America currently owns over 7,000 MW capacity and has over 10,000 MW scheduled for operation by summer next year.
