LCG, August 27, 2025--Wärtsilä Energy announced yesterday an agreement with East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) to supply the engineering and equipment for a 217-MW power plant to be constructed in Liberty, Kentucky. The Wärtsilä equipment is scheduled for delivery in mid-2027, and the plant is expected to be commissioned in early 2028.

Gas Pipeline Connects Russia and Turkey
LCG, June 4, 2002--The $2.3 billion Blue Stream project, a gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey, has been completed and is ready for testing.Eni SpA, an Italian oil and gas company, installed the pipeline in the Russian part of the Black Sea and says that the testing for both of the two lines created in the project will be completed by the end of the year.The pipeline will annually move 16 billion cubic meters of gas from Russia to Turkey. The 24-inch diameter pipelines span 239 miles (384 kilometers) and are at an underwater depth of up to 2,150 meters.
