LCG, April 15, 2025--Matrix Renewables announced today the successful commissioning of the Pleasant Valley Solar 1 power generation facility in Ada County, Idaho. The 200-MWac solar facility includes a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that was secured through negotiation with Meta and Idaho Power. Matrix Renewables states the facility is the largest operational solar facility in Idaho Power's system. Sundt Renewables, the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services provider, completed construction of the project on March 2nd.

LCG, April 9, 2025--Duke Energy announced yesterday its submission of a subsequent license renewal (SLR) application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the Robinson Nuclear Plant, a 759-MW nuclear unit located near Hartsville, South Carolina. The application requests extending the plant's operations for an additional 20 years.

Reliant Energy, Inc. has appointed Mark M. Jacobs executive vice president and chief financial officer of both Reliant Energy and Reliant Resources, Inc. Jacobs will resign from the Reliant Energy position upon the completion of the spin-off of Reliant Resources from Reliant Energy. Steve Naeve, who has served in the Reliant Enery role, will continue as vice chairman of Reliant Energy until the completion of the spin-off. Jacobs has served in an advisory position with Reliant, and has been a managing director of Goldman Sachs & Co.PSEG Energy Resources & Trading has appointed Thomas P. Weeks Director-Midwest Marketing, making him responsible for developing energy marketing opportunities for PSEG Power's gas-fired cominbed-cycle electric generating facilities under construction in the Midwest. PSEG Energy Resources & Trading is a subsidiary of PSEG Power, the independent power producer. Weeks served as Senior Structured Products Originator and Risk Manager at DTE Energy Trading. He also served at DTE's Detroit Edison Company affiliate, and held the positions of Senior Business Analyst and financial Team Leader.Ballard Power Systems announced that Dennis Campbell will serve as president and chief operating officer effective July, 22, 2002. Campbell will also become chief executive officer on March 31, 2003, succeeding Firoz Rasul, who will become Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. Campbell has 30 years of experience in diverse manufacturing enterprises, and joins Ballard from Home Care Industries, where he was president and chief executive officer. He will apply his experience to Ballard's fuel cell and related businesses in the portable, stationary and transportation power markets.
