LCG, January 15, 2026--Origis Energy today announced that Meta and the company signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 240-MW (303-MWdc) Greyhound A Solar project in West Odessa, Texas. The Greyhound A Solar project is scheduled to achieve commercial operations by mid-2026.

LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

FERC to Hold Small Generator Transmission Meeting
LCG, August 21, 2002-The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will hold a public discussion on improving transmission from small power plants.The FERC meeting has been planned according to an April proposal to provide specific interconnections for generators who produce only a small amount of capacity but may use new and renewable technologies.Small renewable energy generators and other small project investors, after receiving Congressional support by way of tax credits, fear being incapable of competing in the market because they may be unable to reach transmission lines.The public meeting will be held on September 9.
