Wires were brought down in hundreds of locations, prompting Southern California Edison crews to go out to restore them to working condition. Overall, 250,00 customers have had no electricity due to the damage. The high winds, which have been measured at over 75 miles per hour, are expected to continue through Tuesday if not longer, according to the National Weather Service. Although further damage is possible, there were 40,000 customers whose power had not been restored as of this morning.
