LCG, March 6, 2026--Entergy yesterday announced approximately $5 billion in total savings for 2.3 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi resulting from data center customer agreements in those states. Entergy, which completed its first data center customer agreement in 2024, projects the customer savings over the next 20 years and after the regulatory approval or acknowledgement of the public service commissions in those states.

LCG, March 5, 2026--The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announced yesterday that it has authorized the staff to issue TerraPower’s subsidiary, US SFR Owner, a construction permit for the company’s Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1 commercial nuclear power plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

550-MW Southern California Sempra Energy Plant Approved
LCG, August 7, 2003The California Energy Commission gave final approval for a 550-megawatt natural gas-fired plant to be constructed in Escondido. Sempra Energy Resources, a unit of Sempra, will own and operate the combined-cycle plant, although it will be built on a JRMC Real Estate-owned, 186-acre business park. The Palomar plant is likely to begin operations in late 2005, although contracts are still being discussed. The plant will cost between $350 and $400 million.
