LCG, March 18, 2026--The EIA released a new "In-depth Analysis" of the potential impact of faster-than-expected near-term growth in data center power demand on power generation and wholesale prices on March 12. The analysis models the lower 48 states through 2027 and compares results to its base case scenario. Key takeaway from this sensitivity analysis is the potential increase in fossil fuels in some regions and potentially a significant increase in wholesale prices in ERCOT.

Gas Drilling Sites Selected Off Canadian Coast
LCG, June 16, 2003--Two companies working on a natural gas project off Nova Scotia announced today that they have selected a location for drilling to take place later this year that is 275 kilometers (approximately 171 miles) southeast of Halifax.The companies, Canadian Superior Energy Inc. and El Paso Corp.'s Canadian subsidiary, purchased the site in November 2001, with an outlay of $15.5 million ($11.54 US) they said they would spend on exploration. Canadian Superior is also developing a deep-water site, Mayflower, that is 460 kilometers (286 miles) east of Boston.
