LCG, March 26, 2025--Qcells USA Corp. (Qcells), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hanwha Qcells, and Nofar USA (Nofar), a wholly owned subsidiary of Nofar Energy, recently announced a signed agreement to cooperate on the development and construction of two energy storage projects in Texas. The projects have a combined capacity of 350 MW with a 2-hour duration (700 MWh).

LCG, March 205, 2025--The Southwest Power Pool (SPP) today announced it will soon be the first regional transmission organization (RTO) in the nation to provide full services in both the Eastern and Western Interconnections of the U.S. power grid. On March 20, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) unanimously approved Southwest Power Pool’s amended tariff that includes provisions that enable Western members to join the RTO. The expansion of the SPP RTO is scheduled to go live April 1, 2026.

SEMPRA Ready to Proceed with Cameron LNG Terminal
LCG, August 2, 2005--Sempra LNG, a unit of Sempra Energy, yesterday announced that it has executed a long-term agreement to provide Eni S.p.A. with approximately 40 percent of the capacity of Sempra LNGs proposed Cameron liquefied natural gas (LNG) receipt terminal under development near Lake Charles, Louisiana. With the agreement, Sempra now plans to commence construction of the terminal within the next two months. The project is scheduled to be completed in late 2008.The Cameron LNG terminal is designed to have an initial processing capacity of 1.5 Bcf/day. The terminal is located along the Gulf Coast, about 15 miles south of Lake Charles and near Henry Hub. Following re-gasification, natural gas will be transported 35 miles from the terminal via the planned Cameron Interstate Pipeline to interstate and intrastate pipelines for delivery to markets throughout the Central and Eastern United States. The new, 36-inch diameter pipeline is a project of Sempra Pipelines & Storage, a unit of Sempra Energy. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission previously granted approval to construct and operate the pipeline.Under the agreement, Eni S.p.A. has contracted for 600 MMcf/day of capacity in the LNG terminal and the Cameron Pipeline. The 20-year agreement calls for deliveries to begin in early 2009. Eni S.p.A. is an international company based in Italy that operates in the oil, natural gas, electricity generation, petrochemicals, engineering and construction and oilfield services sectors of the energy industry.
