LCG, August 27, 2025--Wärtsilä Energy announced yesterday an agreement with East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) to supply the engineering and equipment for a 217-MW power plant to be constructed in Liberty, Kentucky. The Wärtsilä equipment is scheduled for delivery in mid-2027, and the plant is expected to be commissioned in early 2028.

New Wind Turbine Manufacturing Facility Ready to Start Production in China
LCG, July 10, 2008--A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. yesterday announced that it finished the initial phase of its first wind turbine production facility in Shenyang, China. Operations are scheduled to commence this quarter.
The new, 310,000 square foot facility will produce 300 2.5-MW and 420 750-kW wind turbines per year.
Work on the second phase of the facility has already begun, according to a company representative. With the completion of the second phase, the production capacity will increase by 30 percent. The second phase is scheduled for completion in early in 2010.
