LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

BP Wind Energy Starts Construction on 200-MW Wind Project
LCG, July 22, 2009--BP Wind Energy announced last Thursday that construction has commenced on phase two of the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm in Benton County, Indiana. The 200-MW capacity addition is scheduled to deliver power to the grid in the first quarter of next year.
There are four, 50-MW, long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the electricity generated from the Fowler Ridge II Wind Farm. Three agreements are with operating units of American Electric Power (AEP) and one with Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana.
The Fowler Ridge II Wind Farm is on a 17,000-acre site located approximately 90 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The expansion includes 133 GE wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 1.5 MW.
Construction began on the initial phase of the 400-MW, Fowler Ridge Wind Farm in early 2008, and full commercial operation was achieved in April of this year. Phase I includes 182 Vestas 1.65-MW turbines and 40 Clipper 2.5-MW turbines.
