LCG, January 21, 2026--Sage Geosystems, the company pioneering Pressure Geothermal, today announced that it closed over $97 million in Series B funding to advance its geothermal power generation and energy storage solutions, including its first commercial next-generation geothermal power generation facility. Sempra Generation Invests in Fowler Ridge Wind Farm Expansion
LCG, September 18, 2009--Sempra Generation, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, yesterday announced that it is now an equal partner with BP Wind Energy in the development of the second phase of the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm in Indiana. Fowler Ridge II Wind Farm is a 200-MW expansion of a 400-MW wind farm located in Benton County.
BP Wind Energy began construction on the expansion in July of this year. The 200-MW capacity addition is scheduled to deliver power to the grid in the first quarter of next year.
There are four, 50-MW, long-term power purchase agreements (PPA's) for the electricity generated from the Fowler Ridge II Wind Farm. Three agreements are with operating units of American Electric Power (AEP), and one PPA is with Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana.
The Fowler Ridge II Wind Farm is on a 17,000-acre site located approximately 90 miles northwest of Indianapolis. The expansion includes 133 GE wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 1.5 MW.
Construction began on the initial phase of the Fowler Ridge Wind Farm in early 2008, and full commercial operation was achieved in April of this year. Phase I includes 182 Vestas 1.65-MW turbines and 40 Clipper 2.5-MW turbines.
