Construction on the first phase is expected commence soon and begin delivering power to the grid in the summer of 2013.
The second phase of the project will replace 24 simple-cycle units that have a combined capacity of 480 MW, with a combined-cycle facility identical to that previously installed. The second phase is expected to commence operations in 2015.
